LTC Darryl Mills: On the Homefront
A Canadian officer serving with the Third Infantry Division, Mills explains how the family of a soldier contributes just as much as those deployed.
“You bet it's tough on families,” he says. “It's really about a partnership and a team.” Mills describes his wife: “There's a sense of service that she gets out of being a military supporter… She has to be Mom and Dad… And at the same time, too, she’s got her husband - her best friend - over here in combat.”
