Building ties with Sons of Iraq

COP CAHILL – Soldiers and leaders of Company A, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, visited Sons of Iraq at checkpoints Feb. 6 in al Bawi village.

Troops lead citizens home

About 1,000 residents returned to Zambraniyah, a rural community 15 miles southwest of Baghdad, throughout the last week of January after learning the area had been secured by Coalition and Iraqi forces.

Hug ‘em like you mean it

We are often reminded that every day we spend here could be our last. I start the morning in prayer, and I reflect on the 128 Soldiers that have died under my command – I have a card dedicated to each Soldier. These Soldiers are my heros, but I don’t want another card.

Cody gives awards, re-enlists troops

CAMP VICTORY – Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Dick Cody visited Camp Victory Feb. 11 to present awards to nine Multi-National Division – Center Soldiers and to re-enlist 206 Soldiers and two Airmen.
